1) Eastside High School.
Eastside will be looking to win their fifth consecutive state title this season. Eastside will be returning five state champions and three state placers. Eastside will be led by a solid group of seniors. Riley Augustine and Chase Barnes are looking for their third individual state title. Ben Maholtz, Tucker Allen, and Ryan Augustine will be looking to capture their second state title. Look for Eastside to continue their dominance in the 4A division.
2) South Pointe High School
Last year, South Pointe was on a crash course to meet Eastside in the upper state finals. Eastside, the eventual state champions, derailed South Pointe by a score of 47-9. South Pointe will be returning the most state qualifiers in the 4A division with ten state qualifiers. Sophomore Spencer Cox and Senior Issaac Ekanem will be looking to lead South Pointe to what appears to be another matchup with Eastside in the playoffs.
3) Travelers Rest High School
In the playoffs, Travelers Rest upset Dreher High School by a score of 39-33 in the second round. After upsetting Dreher, Travelers Rest went on to lose to South Pointe 58-12. This year, Travelers Rest will have five returning state qualifiers. They will be led by a solid core of seniors. Senior Toby Foster will be looking to win his first state title and seniors Gary Holmes and Zeebo Riley will be looking for their second state title.
